Nicholas Dragga and Yvonne Racz Key of Ballet Lubbock joined Lubbock's First News to talk about their performance Percussion Pointe.

"It's a collaboration with the Texas Tech School of Music Percussion Ensembles," said Dragga, executive director at Ballet Lubbock. "This was actually an idea that started about three years ago."

"We actually had our first rehearsal last night on stage," said Key, artistic director at Ballet Lubbock. "It was loud, but it was awesome."

Key noted that each piece is different and there were as many as nine different choreographers for each piece.

Percussion Pointe will be Friday (April 10) and Saturday (April 11) beginning at 7 p.m. both nights and the Lubbock Civic Center. Tickets can be purchased online at Select-a-Seat, by calling Select-a-Seat at (806) 770-2000 or going to Ballet Lubbock's official website.
