Does anyone remember that part in the history books where Britain got involved in our civil war and brought a quick close to the conflict, saving lives and bringing stability?

Nope? Me neither, and that’s because it didn’t happen.

Civil wars are not things that outside powers can bring to a close, and I would gander, that outside meddlers will only breed contempt with the people of that country.

Look how much stability our involvement has brought to countries like Egypt, and Iraq and Iran.

Oh, that’s right, none.

How about places where it brought about an end to the conflict like say, Korea.

Oh yeah, North Korea is a saber-rattling, oppressive walking, talking, Killing its own people, war crime factory.

Civil wars are not pretty, they are not nice, and no one likes to see the turmoil they bring, but any aide aside from humanitarian will not only not help America, in many cases it ends up with the US in a worse situation.

So, military action in Syria is just another failure waiting to happen.

Oh, and by the way, we don’t know who used chemical weapons, and the UN inspectors (if anyone remembers from a few weeks ago) said they believed that the rebels used them first.

Regardless, supporting Al Queida is never in the best interests of America, no more than supporting a brutal dictator that hates us as well.
