On Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Mike Spano from Raising Cane's talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about a special promotion for teachers.

Today, May 6th, is Teacher Appreciation Day at Raising Cane's restaurants. From 3 PM to close at Raising Cane's, teachers and anyone working in the education field will receive a free combo box from Raising Cane's. To receive the free meal, teachers need to show that they work at an education institute, either by showing their ID badges or a pay stub. Spano said that teachers work hard year round for the kids, and he and the crew at Raising Cane's wanted to help celebrate that.

Raising Cane's has two location in Lubbock: 57th and Slide next to Olive Garden, and 9th and University across from Texas Tech University. For more information on Raising Cane's, visit their website at raisingcanes.com.
