Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP political strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to talk about last week's terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California, and what effects the incident will produce involving the U.S. political landscape.

Speaking about President Obama's Oval Office address to the nation last night, Mackowiak said,

This was more about symbolism than it was about announcing anything new. So, I look at this as a missed opportunity. There was, you know, no announcement of new strategy to fight ISIS, wasn't really anything reassuring about how we'll overcome terrorism. Really wasn't any resolve from the President to give confidence to people that the government is taking these homegrown threats seriously, and that we're going to do anything more to prevent a San Bernardino type attack from happening.

Mackowiak and Hasty also discussed the GOP nomination race, and what results the California attack will have on different candidates.
