After being elected this past March to serve as the Lubbock County Democratic Chair, Marjorie Reynolds has reportedly resigned.

According to EverythingLubbock.com, Reynolds sent her resignation letter to Texas Democratic Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa on November 23.

In her letter, frustration with local members of the Lubbock County Democratic party seems to be what led her to resign. In her resignation letter, Reynolds claims that some in the party locally are "idiotic" and "spoiled":

While all of the Precinct Chairs are not rebellious, arcane, vindictive, self-centered, possessive, short-sighted, spoiled, [and] idiotic, the many who are will undoubtedly drive away the ones who are not.

Everything Lubbock also reported that Reynolds believes that both the Texas Democratic Party and the Lubbock County Democratic party have a long way to go before seeing growth.

It's not clear when local Democrats will select a new chair.
