Earlier in the month on The Chad Hasty Show, Hasty reviewed and article about Washington, D.C. area high school bands that are seeking to breaking tradition by declining to apply for participation in the Inauguration Day parade taking place on January 20, 2017. One of those bands has marched in the previous five Inauguration Day parades.

About the refusal of band/school leaders who are refusing to participate simply because Donald Trump is being inaugurated as the 45th President, Hasty said, "It's pathetic. You know, whether you liked Trump or not, whether you voted for Trump or not, he's going to be President of the United States. He's going to be President, it is an historic moment."

Hasty, speaking about the honor of being selected to perform in the event, one that many bands across the nation apply for, continued with, "I think it's kind of a cool deal that you have schools that are around that area, that get to march in the parade. Those kids get to participate in a historic parade, it's kind of cool...Whether it's a Republican or Democratic president, I mean I think, for the kids, that would be really cool. You know, it's a part of history for sure. I'm sure they wouldn't turn down the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. That one they would want to march in. But you put em in an inaugural parade, of Donald Trump, of all people Donald Trump, oh we can't have that!

Hasty went on to talk about the many possibilities of what may transpire at the inauguration, and described what Trump may do upon taking the stage. "He could start calling out people, he could start naming some names. I don't know, he'll be President at that point, he could really do what he wants," Hasty said.

Hasty continued, imitating Trump during his first speech as President.

What I would love, wouldn't this be great? Now this would probably break decorum. This would not be very politically correct. But what if, Donald Trump got up, after being sworn in as President of the United States, and had [a condensed copy] that says 'OBAMACARE ' on it. 'OBAMACARE LAW' - [in Trump voice] Hey everyone, before I get into my speech ... just, I need to rip this open ok? Just need to rip it, Obama Care's ripped apart. Sorry Mr. President. Sit down ok!
