A Lubbock woman is said to have attacked a man with two machetes after they got into an argument on Saturday, March 5th.

KAMC News reports that at around 10:50 p.m., Lubbock Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 8100 block of Toledo Avenue. When officers arrived, the victim told them what had happened.

The victim, who wasn't identified, said that he had gotten into an argument with the suspect, who also wasn't identified, about where she was while she was out. Apparently, the suspect made a comment about being with another man. The victim responded by saying he was leaving.

That's when the suspect allegedly grabbed two machetes and hit the victim in the leg. The victim had grabbed a bat to defend himself and blocked one of the machetes, but he cut his finger in the process.

Police noted that the suspect had smeared lipstick on her face, but was unharmed. They also found marijuana in a clear plastic baggie while detaining her.

The suspect was charged with aggravated assault and possession of marijuana and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.
