Lubbock Police Investigate Body Found Floating in Playa Lake

A body found floating in a playa lake in southwest Lubbock leaves investigators searching for answers.

Police were called to the lake near 74^th Street and Elgin Avenue after a resident saw a body floating in the lake near the Stonelake Apartments around 11 a.m. Monday.

Lubbock police sent out a dive team to retrieve the body, and the medical examiner will conduct an autopsy.

Police have not released any information about the victim, including gender.
