Lubbock Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

The identity of a man killed in a hit-and-run accident in Lubbock Tuesday morning has been released.

38 year-old Matthew Aaron Valadez was out on his morning run when he struck by a vehicle in the 2000 block of Iola Avenue.  Valadez died at the scene from his injuries.

Lubbock Police say that the driver of the vehicle made no attempt to stop and render aid. Investigators believe that a grey vehicle was involved in the hit-and-run.  If you have any information on this case you’re urged to call the Crime Line at 741-1000.
