A Latin Jazz pianist will perform at Texas Tech next weekend.

Nachito Herrera will continue Texas Tech’s Presidential Lecture & Performance Series at 7 p.m. March 1st in the Allen Theatre, located in the Student Union Building.

Herrera performed with the Havana Symphony Orchestra by age 12, and has received nominations for both a Grammy and Emmy Awards.

Herrera served as lead pianist, arranger, and music director of the jazz group ¡Cubanismo!, and has toured across the United States as members of different groups.

He now teaches at the MacPhail School of Music in Minneapolis.

A meet-and-greet and CD signing with Herrera will take place after the performance.
