John Frullo and Charles Perry Receive Powerful Appointments in the Texas Legislature

The committee assignments for the 83rd Texas Legislature were announced and both of Lubbock's state representatives have been appointed to the State's three most powerful committees.

Representative John Frullo (R-HD 84) received assignments to the powerful Calendars committee and to State Affairs along with assignments to the House Administration and Pensions committee. Frullo served on State Affairs in the 82nd Legislature.

Representative Charles Perry (R-HD 83), also of Lubbock, has been named Vice-Chairman of the Government Efficiency & Reform committee and received a seniority appointment to the Appropriations committee.

"Once again, I am honored and humbled by the faith placed in me by Speaker Straus," Frullo said in a press release.

"In this session, we are charged with making decisions that will affect the citizens of Texas for years to come.

The work done by the committees is integral to the policy-making process, and I look forward to continuing that work for the people of District 84 and the state of Texas."
