Thursday on Lubbock's First News, Wendy Grimes and Karen Sims Chairman of this event... of the Garrison Geriatric Education and Care Center gave details on the upcoming 7th annual Age Divine fundraiser.

The Garrison Center works with Texas Tech University to offer geriatric services as a result of the dementia care education offered to students. They specialize in Alzheimer's care. The Age Divine event will feature a dinner, auction, live music, and games. It will take place Thursday February 6 at the Kinsey Merket Alumni Center at 5:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $50 each by calling 763-4455. The fundraiser will help provide items for patients, as well as educational events. Sims said the theme of the event, "Pour Your Heart Out", means "We want people to pour their heart into the cause the Garrison is trying to promote throughout the area. That is caring for people that are in need."
