A former Texas Tech student that jumped bail after being sentenced for an alcohol-related wreck that resulted in the death of a woman has been taken into custody.

Jeena Roberts was caught Monday in Houston, and will face a bail jumping charge.

The 21-year-old Roberts pleaded guilty in late November 2012 to intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.

In October 2010, Roberts, a native of The Woodlands, rear-ended a car, which resulted in the death of 54-year-old Linda Smaltz and the injury of another person.

Roberts had been drinking before driving at high speeds down Fourth Street, when she hit Smaltz near Avenue L.

She received 15 years for the intoxication manslaughter charge and eight years for intoxication assault to be served concurrently. She will now likely face more time due to the bail jumping charge.

Roberts was ordered to report to prison on January 7th.
