See DARPA’s Homing Bullets in Action [Video]

Homing bullets have left the realm of science fiction and entered into reality after the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) recently released a video showcasing bullet technology they have been developing for some time.

The DARPA put a sniper rifle in the hands of shooters who had never used a similar rifle before, and the shooters were soon able to hit a moving target at range, thanks to the self-steering bullet.

DARPA Program Manager Jerome Dunn told Livescience.com the .50-caliber bullet system represented a major breakthrough in technology that could soon be implemented in many different caliber bullets.
