It's not time to break out the jackets yet, but early next week those who love temperatures under 90 will be very happy.
According to the National Weather Service in Lubbock, rain chances begin to increase this weekend and temperatures Monday will be in the 80's. Storm chances are expected to return Sunday evening across the South Plains with high's in the 90's. According to a post on X (formally Twitter), chances of rain Sunday are about 30-40%.
Temperatures fall on Monday and Tuesday with high's in the mid-80's and rain chances increasing. By the middle and end of next week, temperatures are expected to increase into the 90's. So enjoy the cooler weather while you can.
