New polling data out today (December 02, 2015) shows Ben Carson's poll numbers declining in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, with Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio continuing to rise while Donald Trump remains at the top of the stack. Chris Christie is seen by Chad Hasty as being favored more and more by the media, and Hasty talked about the reasons why on The Chad Hasty Show today.

Hasty went over the poll numbers and discussed possible reasons for the results for different candidates.

...Ben Carson tied with Ted Cruz at 16 percent. I predict you will see Ted Cruz rise to second place before the end of the year. Now the December 15th debate will be huge for Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. I think that debate may determine who finishes this year in second place. They will both have momentum. But how I see the trends going, it would not surprise me if Donald Trump hovers around 25 percent, and you may have Ted Cruz hit 18 percent, maybe close to 20 percent. It would not surprise me if that happens.

Hasty also talked about the mainstream media's increasing fascination with Chris Christie, and the reasons for that growing interest.
