Boil Water Notice in Effect for Tahoka

A boil water notice is in effect for a South Plains town going into this weekend.

A six inch water main has cracked in the town of Tahoka in the 1200 block of North Sixth Street. The break in the water main occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.

Residents are urged to boil their water for consumption until full water services are restored to Tahoka. Restoration of the broken main is underway, but no timetable has been given.
