Body of Missing Cotton County Woman Found

The body of a Cotton County woman who’s daughter is a Texas Tech student has been found near Devol. The body of 52-year-old Teresa Speir was found around 3:30p.m. Thursday, 11 days after she failed to report to work. Spier was reported missing January 8th after others at the convenience store where she worked became concerned by her absence.
The Oklahoma State Buerau of investigation says her body was found on a property about two miles west of Devol in southwestern Oklahoma. Spier’s body is being sent to a medical examiner to determine the cause of death. Authorities were concerned when Spier’s vehicle was found at home, and later when her purse and phone were found near a shed.
Her daughter was to attend this semester, but stayed in Oklahoma to help search for her mother.
