Lubbock Police say they have found a bag full of human remains in the Hub City.

Maintenance workers from the Chaparral Apartments, located at 5810 24th Street, were excavating in an alley area, and found a cloth bag of human remains.

Police say that the bag of bones has been there for quite a while, and are in an advanced state of decomposition.

Authorities say they may have a few leads as to the identity of the remains, but have not commented further on the issue.

Homicide detectives are investigating, and police say they will continue searching the scene for now.
