Mark Hasse, an assistant district attorney, was shot to death outside a North Texas courthouse.

According to the Kaufman County spokeswoman, the attorney was walking through the parking lot behind the courthouse on his way to work around 9 a.m. when he was gunned down.

50-year-old Hasse was shot multiple times and was taken away in an ambulance.

It is not currently clear if he died at the hospital or en route.

Police are currently searching and have offered a $10,000 reward for the two suspects who are believed to have fled in a brown or silver older model Ford Taurus.

Kaufman County is about 33 miles south of Dallas.
