AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch

The statewide average for a gallon of unleaded gasoline continued a climbing trend this week, reported AAA Texas.

According to the Weekend Gas Watch report, Texas’ average is $2.11, $1.09 less than last year.

Of metropolitan areas measured by AAA, drivers in Dallas are paying the highest at an average of $2.15, Beaumont and San Antonio drivers the least at $2.07.

The national average sits higher at $2.27. Gasbuddy.com lists prices in the Lubbock area around the $2 mark.
