On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News Kendra Landsdale talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the upcoming Cattle Baron's Ball.

The 31st annual Cattle Baron's Ball will take place Saturday, July 27th starting at 7:30 PM at the V-8 Ranch. In the event of rain, the event will relocate to the Texas Tech Equestrian Center. Landsdale said that this year, the theme will be "Rock the Ranch," and will focus on some more current, popular music as well as classic hits. Musical guests include the Tejas Brothers and Downtown Fever, and catering will be provided by Don Strange Catering out of Austin.

Tickets are $250 for individuals, and $350 for the Baron's tickets, which include reserved seating and advance access to the ball. Tables are also available starting at $3,000. All proceeds form the tickets go to benefit the American Cancer Society.
