As many of you know, I am a huge fan of social media and the changes we have seen since social media started growing. We all like to be connected and to know what is happening in the world and with Twitter we can be. I use Twitter to interact with listeners and to find out what is happening in the world. Information spreads so fast now, you can often see something on Twitter before FOX or CNN has it. Over the next few days, I will be posting 13 of the Twitter accounts I believe you should follow. It will be a mix of politico’s, bloggers, sports guys, entertainment, and just people that I enjoy following. It will tough to only list 13, but that is part of the fun. Now, I don’t always agree with some of their tweets, but these people are active on Twitter and put out some good stuff. Of course you can always follow me on Twitter, @ChadHastyRadio.

Here are my 13 to Follow in 2013 that tweet mainly about national politics:

@EWErickson– Editor-in-chief of & CNN Political Contributor. Great commentary and interaction with followers. More than just politics as well.

@JonahNRO– Great political and social commentary. You’ve seen him on FOX News and read his work at National Review. He is a must-follow, like everyone else on the list.

@robertcostaNRO– Another from National Review. Find out what is happening in Washington from Robert.

@Heritage– Jim DeMint is the new President of the Heritage Foundation so that should give you some insight as to what they believe. Good interaction and information.

@MattMackowiak– You hear him Monday’s on The Chad Hasty Show. Follow GOP Strategist, Matt Mackowiak, on Twitter for commentary on the days events and what it means for Republicans.

@MattCover– Humor and politics, it does go well together. One of my favorite people to follow on Twitter.

@TedCruz– Why would you not follow the rising star? Senator Ted Cruz does a great job at informing and interacting with people on Twitter.

@mattklewis– Matt Lewis is a senior contributor to the Daily Caller.

@SooperMexican– Funny conservative blogger. He hides behind a mask which makes it even more interesting.

@iowahawkblog– David Burge is hilarious and makes great points.

@BuzzFeedAndrew– BuzzFeed is huge and Andrew tweets about everything from politics to cats. You will get a ton of information. Some you may or may not agree with.

@JamieDupree– Covers Congress, DC, and elections

@gopfirecracker– Part of the MisfitPolitics crowd. Lots of commentary on social and political news.
