114th Street and Slide Road to be Converted to All-Way Stop

A southwest Lubbock intersection will be converted to an All-Way Stop this week.

The intersection of 114^th Street and Slide Road will be converted to an All-Way Stop on Thursday, May 16^th.

Message signs alerting motorists of the change were placed last week for northbound and southbound Slide Road traffic.

According to a press release from the City of Lubbock, they analyzed the vehicular volume of the intersection, and compared it with criteria established in the Texas Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

The stop is being installed with the endorsement of TxDOT.

Motorists are advised to be aware of the new traffic control device and to use caution while traveling in the area.
