With the NFL regular season ending over the weekend we can now which Red Raiders have made their way into the playoffs. The Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers all missed the NFL playoffs and will take their respective Red Raiders into the offseason.

There are still several teams though still in the playoffs with Texas Tech football players on the roster with a chance to get to the Super Bowl to extend the Red Raiders participation in the Super Bowl to a 12th straight season.

We'll start with the most obvious candidate, Patrick Mahomes. The Kansas City Chiefs won't play this week because they earned a bye week, but a well rested Chiefs team absolutely has a chance to get back to the Super Bowl for the second straight season in 2021.

Staying in the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens are also back in the  playoffs, but this time Broderick Washington has joined the party on defense. Washington was active for 8 games this season including the last several. He tallied two tackles in a reserve role. The Ravens open the playoffs in Tennessee against Cameron Batson's Titans. Batson has worked his way into a contributing wide receiver role and is the team's primary kick returner.

The final two teams in the AFC with Red Raiders on the roster are the Browns and the Colts. I bet you think I'm trolling with the Browns saying Baker Mayfield is the former Red Raider, but I'm not. Derrick Willies is on the Browns roster again after the entire starting receiver corps was struck with COVID and contact tracing. Also, Baker Mayfield is a former Red Raider, get over it. The Colts have Le'Raven Clark on IR.

The NFC has a few entries as well. Tight End Dylan Cantrell is on the Washington Football Team practice squad and Jordyn Brooks has worked his way into a consistent piece on the Seahawks defense. Since week seven, Brooks has tallied at least seven tackles five times and has played in the majority of the defensive snaps most weeks. The Seahawks open the playoffs against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.

In my opinion the Seahawks and the Packers have the greatest odd to make the Super Bowl in the NFC while the Chiefs and the Bills are the two best AFC teams.
