The violent gang out of Venezuela that has become infamous for taking over hotels and apartment complexes in the United States has reportedly seized four different complexes in a major Texas city.

According to the Daily Mail, at least four apartment complexes in San Antonio have recently been taken over by Tren de Aragua, also referred to as TdA. As the Daily Mail reports, Tren de Aragua is known for violence, drug smuggling, human trafficking, and child prostitution. The gang has spread across the United States unleashing a wave of crime across the nation, including here in Texas.

The Daily Mail reports that last week, San Antonio police raided an apartment complex are arrested 19 people, 4 of whom were members of Tren de Aragua. According to the Daily Mail, TdA had been operating from the Palatia Apartments for five or six months. Reports say they used the complex as a base to deal cocaine and to even traffic women and children. The report also states that at least three other properties have been occupied by Tren de Aragua in San Antonio.

DailyMail.com is not naming the three other apartment complexes to avoid jeopardizing ongoing police investigations.

However, the locations were confirmed by law enforcement sources, and we spent days visiting the sites where we spoke to terrified residents.

This wouldn't be the first time that Tren de Aragua has taken over apartment complexes. The group is well known for taking over an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado.

The State of Texas is offering a reward for information on known TdA gang members.
