A large Texas university now offers a new program allowing students to finish their Bachelor’s Degree online.

The University of Texas System has launched the “Finish@UT” program, which offers a flexible path to completion of their undergraduate work.

Students can earn a bachelor of science in university studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, a bachelor of multidisciplinary studies through UT El Paso, or a bachelor of arts in humanities through UT Permian Basin.

A press release states that Finish@UT has been designed for aspiring college graduates that may have trouble getting to a campus and keeping up with the traditional college schedule. The program was created for students who have earned some college credits.

“The reality of earning that degree is not always so simple,” said Martha Ellis, associate vice chancellor of Community College Partnerships for the UT system. “Nearly one out of every two students at four-year universities works 20 hours or more, while one in four college students have children they need to care for at home.”

Up to $60,000 is available for scholarships in the program. More information is available at www.FinishAtUT.org.
