Two Free COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics In Lubbock On Saturday

Are you ready to get vaccinated against COVID-19? If the answer is yes, but you just don't know when or where to get vaccinated, you are in luck. The City of Lubbock Health Department will be hosting two free clinics on Saturday.
According to a press release from the City of Lubbock, the Lubbock Health Department will be partnering with the YWCA and St. John Nuemann Catholic Church to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday, May 22.
The press release from the City of Lubbock says no appointment is necessary for either location.
What: YWCA Truck to Trunk Drive-thruCOVID Vaccine Clinic
When: Saturday, May 22, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Where: YWCA, 6501 University Avenue
What: Free COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
When: Saturday, May 22, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Where: St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5802 22nd Street
No appointment is necessary for either clinic.
Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be offered.
The first and second doses are available for adults 18 and over. If you are getting your second Moderna shot, the City of Lubbock Health Department asks that you bring your vaccination card.
If you can't make it Saturday, United Supermarkets is continuing to vaccinate those who wish to get the vaccine. In fact, at United Supermarkets, you can choose which vaccine you get.
The Centers for Dieses Control and Prevention recently announced that those who have been fully vaccinated no longer need to wear masks or socially distance from others in most circumstances. Since the COVID-19 vaccine was released, cases of coronavirus have fallen. In recent weeks, there has been a slow down of the amount of people getting the vaccine.
