Tuberville Announces Hiring of Two New Defensive Coaches

Some changes have been made to the Texas Tech football staff.

Texas Tech Head Football Coach Tommy Tuberville has announced that offensive line coach Matt Moore and defensive backs coach Otis Mounds have been dismissed, and defensive line coach Sam McElroy will be reassigned to a non-coaching position.

Terry Price and John Lovett have been hired by Texas Tech to coach for the defense. Price was the defensive line coach at Ole Miss, and Lovett served as the defensive coordinator at Miami in 2009 and 2010. No choices have been made as of yet on the next offensive line coaching position.

“Terry and John are going to be great additions to our football family here at Texas Tech, and we are thrilled that they are now Red Raiders,” Tuberville said.
