The former Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Tom Homan, joined The Chad Hasty Show on Tuesday to discuss the impact coronavirus has had on illegal immigration in the United States.

According to Homan, there have been some judges who have ordered the release of illegal immigrants from ICE facilities during the pandemic. Homan told KFYO that some judges are using coronavirus as an excuse even when there are no cases of coronavirus in the ICE facility.

Homan told KFYO that in many cases the ICE facilities are cleaner and safer than the alternatives for those who are released. Homan also told KFYO that some dangerous criminals have also been released. Homan recently wrote an op-ed for FOX News on the developments.

During the interview Homan also updated the audience on the job President Trump has done on cracking down on illegal immigration and securing the border.

Homan also talked about his new book, Defend the Border and Save Lives which just came out in the last few weeks.
