When I think "Texas Cocktail," the drinks that first come to mind are margaritas and micheladas. But according to Google analytical data pulled by Versus Reviews, the most popular drink in Texas is the elegant, summery and oh-so-perfect for brunch Paloma.

Cocktail recipes vary of course, but epicurious.com lists the perfect Paloma as a mixture of grapefruit juice, lime juice, mezcal or tequila, sugar and club soda with a kosher salt rim.

However, my absolute favorite Paloma is lovingly made by the mixologists at Crafthouse Gastropub. It's crafted with Cimmaron tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, topped with champagne and rimmed with red chili lime salt. It's served during their Sunday brunches, and I cannot recommend it enough. You can also read my full review of Crafthouse Gastropub.

Of course, whatever you're drinking, please do so responsibly.
