The Lubbock Police Department Needs Help Finding a Wanted man
A wanted man from North Texas is suspected of currently hiding out in the Hub City. The Lubbock Police Department recently took to social media to ask for the publics help in finding Julio Jimenez. Jimenez is currently wanted out of Grayson County for failure to appear in court, he was originally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
According to comments on the post on social media there seemed to be some confusion as to why a simple charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance would lead to a man being wanted. Possession of a Controlled Substance means that the substance itself is considered dangerous such as methamphetamines, cocaine, meth or any other serious drug/narcotic.
Anyone in the state of Texas caught with at least one gram of Possession of a Controlled Substance could face up to two years in prison with a $10,000 fine. The amount of prison time and fines could increase with the amount of controlled substance due to its felony status unlike charges like Drug Paraphernalia or Possession of Marijuana, which are both misdemeanors.
Due to Jimenez being wanted he is to be considered dangerous and to not be approached or confronted by the public. Anyone who knows his whereabouts or sees Jimenez is urged to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000, you can remain anonymous. Any information that is submitted and leads to an arrest could also lead to a reward.
