The Lubbock Animal Shelter Has Hundreds of Pets Up for Adoption
Are you looking for a new dog or cat to bring home? Maybe you're wanting to adopt a pet to give a new home to. If so, you'll find a ton of dogs and cats ready to meet their new family here in Lubbock.
According to a press release from the City of Lubbock, Lubbock Animal Services currently has over 300 pets available for adoption. Lubbock Animal Services says that warming weather has caused a "seasonal influx" of animals ending up at the Lubbock Animal Shelter.
With more than 340 dogs and cats to choose from, you should have no problem finding your next furry friend. Not only can you find your next pet, but your next pet may not cost you anything. From LAS:
Due to warmer weather, Lubbock Animal Services is experiencing a seasonal influx of animals into the shelter. This means citizens have plenty of options when it comes to adopting a pet. The Adoption Center has more than 340 dogs and cats to choose from, and all adult dogs are free to adopt for the rest of this month.
All the animals that are adopted from the Lubbock Animal Shelter are up to date on vaccinations. They're also microchipped, which is a big help in case they ever get lost. Remember: if you find a stray dog, you can take them to any vet and they will scan for a microchip for free. Lubbock Animal Services also makes sure that all adopted pets have been spayed or neutered.
In order to adopt a pet, visit the Adoption Center Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 3323 S.E. Loop 289.
