The Car Pro Test Drives the Unreleased 2021 Toyota Supra

Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, car care month, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the new 2021 Toyota Supra, a car that is a very early edition and hasn't even been released yet. This is the first year the car has been back since 1998. The car was popularized by the Fast & Furious movies. Jerry said, "Even though this car was gone for 22 years, when they brought it back, they really did it right."

The car was a joint project between Toyota and BMW, with BMW making the engine and Toyota making the body, which Jerry says just works. The car has 382 horses and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds. One downside that Jerry talked about is that it is a little hard to get in and out of for some people. Despite this, once you get inside, the car is very comfortable. The car gets 30 miles to the gallon on the highway, is a great driving car, and has a sport mode that changes everything including the sound of the exhaust, which Jerry says is fantastic.

The car has no MSRP price yet, since it has not been released. Reynolds predicts that it will be around $60,000.
