Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, the best time to buy new and used cars, as well as other auto industry news.

This week, The Car Pro was test driving the all-new 2021 Kia Sorento, a hybrid, and one of Kia's more popular SUVs. The car has 3 rows of seating, which Jerry says were very comfortable, although not quite as roomy as the Kia Telluride, which Jerry compared this Sorento to several times for similarities such as its drive. This 2021 model is a bit longer than previous versions, has a nice leather interior, gets 37 miles to the gallon overall and 39 on the highway, and in addition to being a hybrid, also has a turbocharger on the 4 cylinder engine, which Jerry says will really get up and go when you need that extra power. The car also has a quiet mode for people sleeping in the backseat, which will turn off the speakers in the back so only the people in the front can hear whatever is playing. Jerry said,

They really kind of thought of everything.

Overall, Reynolds was very impressed with this car, saying that they did an amazing job. The only thing that Jerry said that he would change on the car would be to make the 3rd row seats powered so they could fold down more easily, but even then he says it is not difficult to do manually. The car has a window sticker price of $38,000, which Jerry says is a good deal for what you're getting.
