The Car Pro Test Drives the 2021 Mercedes AMG GLS63

Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2021 Mercedes AMG GLS63, a very nice car with a big catch, being the price. Jerry started the discussion by saying that he expected Matt and Dave to say that no SUV is worth this much. The car has a window sticker price of $150,445. Jerry explained that you are paying for a couple things with that big price tag, being the interior, but more than that, the handmade 603 horse v8 engine with 2 turbos. Jerry said, "When you step on this thing, it just goes." The car is very large, weighing almost 6,000 lbs, and has a very smooth drive.  It also has a "fabulous", leather interior with nice attention to detail, a 3rd row seat with lots of room behind, a panoramic moonroof, and 23 inch tires. Jerry said that this car is not for everyone, due to the price, but that he's never driven anything like it, and struggles to find things to dislike about it.

One story is about a car being sold that used to belong to President Kennedy, and was used to drive him from the airport to other locations. Another story is about what to do if your check engine light is on, where Jerry breaks down the most common problems that cause the check engine light to be on, such as problems with the emission and gas caps.
