Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, the most popular car the year you graduated, as well as other auto industry news.

This week, The Car Pro was test driving the 2020 Ram Rebel EcoDiesel, an off road half ton truck with 18 inch wheels and 33 inch tires that Jerry says make it quite a capable vehicle. The truck is 4 wheel drive, and has a comfortable ride. It also has the 3rd generation of the Ram EcoDiesel engine, being a 6 cylinder turbo engine with 3 liters, that puts out 260 horses, which doesn't sound like very much, but Jerry reminds that with diesel, the torque is what really matters, and this model has 480 lb ft of torque. The truck also has 12,500 lbs of towing capacity, gets 29 miles to the gallon on the highway, has plenty of power, and is very quiet. Jerry said,

The engine is absolutely whisper quiet. You can not tell you're in a diesel, even on the outside of the truck.

The truck's tailgate also opens outward, rather than down, which allows you to walk right up to the bed. It also has toolboxes on either side of the bed, which can be locked with the keyfob. The 2020 Ram Rebel EcoDiesel has a window sticker price of $70,000.
