The Car Pro Test Drives the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500

Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Matt and Dave to talk about his test drive of the week, as well as other auto industry news.

This week, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds was test driving the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, the fastest Mustang and fastest Ford that has ever been produced, with 760 horses. Jerry started the discussion by saying that the car is very well balanced, as far as power and handling goes. He explained that the car felt more like a Porsche than a Ford, saying that you could go as fast as you want, that there is no lean on the turns, and that you just feel super safe when driving, even with the very high horsepower. He even called the car a "street legal dragster." Jerry also explained that the car is definitely meant to go on the track, can go from 0 to 60 mph in just over 3 seconds, has a tight drive, is quiet inside, has an exhaust sound that he found mesmerizing, and has a quiet exhaust mode. The car has a window sticker price of $82,200.
