The Car Pro Test Drives the 2020 Mercedes Benz AMG CLA35
Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Matt and Dave to talk about his test drive of the week, riots and car dealerships being attacked, sales numbers for May, as well as other auto industry news.
This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2020 Mercedes Benz AMG CLA35, a bright red car that Jerry has gotten a lot of comments on. Jerry explained that the AMG version of the car is a bit different than other versions, having a more powerful engine, different wheels and suspension, and the body being slightly different. Jerry describes this as an entry level performance car, saying that it is not lightning fast, but with it being smaller, and having a more powerful engine, it still feels powerful.
This thing will absolutely fly when you floorboard it. It really surprised me the first time.
The car has 302 horses, is all wheel drive, has good traction, and has very comfortable seats with both heating and cooling options. Jerry had some problems with the price of the car, explaining that Mercedes often offers the car for a cheaper price, but that the standard options bump up the price substantially. This car has a window sticker price of $62,000, but Jerry feels that he could easily cut $5,000 worth of options, and still have a very nice car.
