The Car Pro Test Drives the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Diesel
Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, as well as other auto industry news.
This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2020 Jeep Wrangler DIESEL, a brand new option in their lineup. Jerry started the discussion by explaining that while these Wranglers are typically quite loud, this model is a 4 door with a hard top, which helps create more stability so that the ride is better and it is quieter inside. Despite this, the car is still a bit loud when getting up to speeds of 65 mph. Jerry recommends that first time Jeep buyers test drive it for a while, or rent it for a weekend, because they are not for everyone.
The car also has cloth roof that, with the push of a button, will open the entire top, where normally you'd have to manually pull the top off. The car also has a diesel engine. Jerry explained that the car has 240 horses, as well as 442 lb ft of torque, that he says makes it lightning fast. Jerry went on to say,
Boy, I've got to tell you guys, the performance of this thing is pretty amazing.
The car also looks good and has a and nice interior, gets 29 miles to the gallon on the highway, and has a window sticker price of $56,000. Jerry said that this is the closest that a Wrangler has gotten to a daily driver for him.
