The Car Pro Test Drives the 2019 Mercedes AMG E63 Station Wagon
Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week as well as other auto industry news.
This week, Jerry Reynolds was test driving the 2019 Mercedes AMG E63 Station Wagon. Jerry explained that the big thing on this car is the 4 liter, bi-turbo, v8 engine that puts out 603 horses.
"This thing is a beast. It's really an engineering marvel. The way the car drives, the way it handles, the way you can configure it."
The car has a sport+ mode and a race mode. The race mode can only be activated if you are within one miles or a race track. Jerry also explained that the car is all wheel drive, has great handling, has a launch mode for perfect burnouts, and that you can disable the front wheels to do some drifting. The car has a price of $138,000, and Jerry had this to say about its sales, "I would guess the sales numbers to be incredibly low, but if there are people out there who want something like this, they want that utility, they want that space in the back, but just haven't made that transition to an SUV and they like a lot of power, this car is really something else."
