Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, a Ford giveaway, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2019 Corvette Stingray. Jerry was saddened that this will be the last generation of this car that he has been reviewing since 2014 before they change the design. The Stingray is the base model, and is the cheapest of the Corvettes, coming in at $62,345. Jerry said that this model is nicely equipped, but that he really wishes it came with blind spot monitoring, saying that Corvettes really need that feature badly. Jerry went on to praise the car, saying,

Everybody in their lives should lives should own one Corvette just because they're so unique and there's something special about them. Would I want one for a daily driver? Heck no. It's a challenge to get in and out of one the way they sit so low to the ground. But if you're looking for a weekend car, holy cow, these cars are really special.

Reynolds also talked about several stories on his website carprousa.com, including story on Ford giving away a 2020 Shelby GT500 to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and how you can get a raffle ticket for $10, as well as a story on Toyota's new Corolla special edition, and a story on a survey done by Volvo in which both younger drivers and baby boomers seem to think the other group are worse drivers.
