Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2019 Corvette Grand Sport, a type of car that Jerry has personally owned 2 of in the past. Reynolds explained that he finds the body type of this car irresistible. He started the discussion by comparing this car to similar models, including a lack of supercharger in the engine resulting in 460 horses, which is less than similar models, and something that Jerry was actually happy about. "This car is perfectly balanced in every way," Jerry said. The car is bright red, has an unmistakable engine noise, great handling, and has a window sticker price of $88,000. One thing that The Car Pro was not as impressed with was trying to get out of the vehicle, as well as problems with blind spots. Jerry said,

It's not a daily driver. I mean, it's not an overly comfortable daily driver. It sits low to the ground. You know, there's a lot of things about it that I wouldn't want if it was my only car, but man, what a great weekend car this makes.

Reynolds also talked about some auto industry news, including the Fiat-Renault merger being called off due to political reasons, as well as how Trump's proposed tariff change on Mexico will affect manufacturing and prices.
