Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, as well as the best time to buy a car, and more auto industry news.

This week Jerry Reynolds was test driving the brand new 2019 Cadillac XT4 SUV, the smallest SUV that Cadillac has ever built, and the cheapest that they currently offer. Jerry was pretty happy with this car, talking about its panoramic moon-roof, leather heated, cooled, and massaging front seats, good head room, good leg room, nice wheels, nice drive, and 4 cylinder 2 liter engine. "It's got a lot of power when that turbo kicks in," Jerry explained. The only thing that he was not too happy about was the price. Reynolds explained that many cars may advertise a low base price of $37,995, but then you find out that once the car comes equipped, that the MSRP can jump up a lot. "It's got a MSRP of $54,000. So, a big big jump, and I think people have to be aware of that. I won't use the word misleading, but it comes right close to it."

The Car Pro also talked about a story on his website carprousa.com. He said that he constantly hears people saying that they plan to buy a car right after the first of the year, which he believes is a bad move, and that people should buy a car in December instead. His reason for this is mostly based around big incentives. Jerry explained that at the beginning of the year, car companies cut back on incentives to test the market.
