The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds Test Drives the 2020 Corvette
Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week in the 2020 Corvette, the used car market, as well as other auto industry news.
The Car Pro started the discussion by saying that he has been very excited this week. "Why wouldn't I be, you know? I've been behind the wheel of the all new 2020 Corvette, the hottest car in America, no doubt." Jerry explained that he is humbled whenever he gets a nice car like this, with other car reviewers calling him, and people constantly stopping to take photos and videos, and swarming the car when he stops somewhere.
This model is the first time since 1953 that Corvette has been a mid-engine car, and it even has 490 horses, which Jerry says really has changed how the car drives, allowing it to be more centered, balanced, and take corners much better. He also said that this version is much easier to enter and exit than the older models. The only real problem with this car that Reynolds had to mention was actually obtaining one. He explained that they are very hard to come by, and that if you want a new one, you would have to wait until the 2022 model. Because of this, the used car market for Corvette's is very hot. The car has a window sticker price of $72,000. Jerry said, "For 72 Grand, that's a ton of money. I get it, but this is a ton of car, too," going on to say,
