Eleven undergraduate researchers at Texas Tech have been selected to present their findings at a national conference.

The Red Raider researchers will present their information at the 2012 National Conference on Undergraduate Research on March 29th through the 31st in Ogden, Utah.

The researchers were chosen from around 3,500 abstracts across the country.

The selected students are:

  • Ann Marie Scott, Microbiology/Immunology
  • David South, Computer Science
  • Jess Lees, Physiology
  • Kathryn King, Marketing
  • Kelly Butler & Candice Prater Miller, Education
  • Lotoya Broughton, Psychology
  • Mwansa Chiyenge, Engineering Technology
  • Mwale Chiyenge, Engineering Technology
  • Tory Ervin, Women and Gender Studies

“This is exciting for Texas Tech University,” said Jeannie Diaz, director of the Texas Tech Center for Undergraduate Research. “It promotes student research on a national level while supporting creative scholarship and student success.”

2012 marks the third year that Texas Tech has supported student involvement to NCUR.
