The nine-season drought for Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball is over, as on Sunday afternoon the Red Raiders learned they would make the Big Dance.

Texas Tech made the NCAA Tournament as an #8 seed in the Midwest Region.  They will play against #9 Butler in the First Round on Thursday, March 17 in Raleigh, NC. Texas Tech's potential Second Round match-up on Saturday, March 19 will be the winner of the #1 Virginia-#16 Hampton game.

A watch party for the NCAA Tournament selection process was held at the United Supermarkets Arena on Sunday, with a number of fans joining the Red Raiders in celebrating the tournament berth.
