Thursday on Lubbock's First News, Scott Womack of Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate, listed off some new establishments that Lubbockites can expect to see in town.

Restaurant Back 40 Grill will be opening this week in the brand new shopping center on 98th and Slide. Scott Womack praised cotton and Texas Tech as being two of Lubbock's largest economic forces, stating that "Texas Tech is a huge economic driver for our city." Womack went on to say it is estimated that Tech will have 40,000 undergraduate students by the year 2020. The University will be developing a Research Park on 4th and Quaker with plans to invest one billion dollars in construction as they work towards becoming a Tier 1 research institute.
