On Thursday, Scott White from the National Ranching Heritage Center joined Tom Collins and Laura Mac on Lubbock's First News to talk about their 37th annual family event, Candlelight at the Ranch. The paths of the museum grounds will be lighted with thousands of luminarias, and there will be hosts in period dress occupying the historic buildings while  recreating holiday scenes, playing traditional music and gathering around a campfire.

During the event, each house will represent a different time period. The scenes run a span of a hundred and seventy years. It goes from 1780 to 1950, and so you get a little glimpse of pieces of history in there.

Candlelight at the Ranch is open from 6-9 p.m on December 11-12, 2015. Hot cocoa and photos with Santa Clause will also be available. For more information, visit the museum's website here.

Tune in to Lubbock’s First News with Tom Collins and Laura Mac each weekday morning from 6:00 am to 8:30 am on News/Talk 790 KFYO or online at KFYO.com
