
Texas Tech Police Investigating Fight Between Two Students Near Greek Circle
Texas Tech Police are currently conducting an investigation into a fight that occurred earlier this week on either this past Sunday or Monday (March 27 or 28) between two students near Greek Circle.
The fight was between two students that occurred in an open field in the 1400 block of Orlando Avenue, one block east of Greek Circle. Texas Tech Police say the fight was witnessed by multiple people. One person suffered serious injuries and was taken to University Medical Center via private vehicle for treatment.
Texas Tech Police are classifying the fight as an Aggravated Assault. They are asking for the public's help for any information concerning the fight to be called into the Texas Tech Police Department at 806-742-3931. As of Wednesday evening, no identities have been released and no arrests have been made.
Texas Tech Police also state, "Perpetrators are responsible for criminal behavior. At Texas Tech University, our top priority is the health, safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and visitors."
For those not familiar with Greek Circle, it is where Texas Tech-affiliated fraternity and sorority chapters have their houses located in Lubbock. Greek Circle is accessible from Quaker and Peoria avenues between 14th to 16th Streets.
